Mission

AVID Blind Golf was established in October of 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee, by Drs. Chad and Patricia NeSmith along with his mother and father, Brenda and Reid. Andy Church, a PGA teaching professional, was and continues to be an essential and invaluable core asset to the ongoing success of AVID.

AVID's goal is to help eliminate the real and artificial barriers for visually impaired children who wish to participate in golf. Both Chad and Patricia have spent most of their lives working with children with disabilities and their families and are passionate about providing them with opportunities that they might not otherwise have.
